MIAMI, July 23 (Our Florida Times) — Burger King is changing more than the burger.

The Miami-based chain says it is adding a new in-store manager role called the Your Way Champion and a Whopper Guarantee that promises a remake if a Whopper does not meet expectations. Burger King says both moves came from customer feedback gathered earlier this year through phone calls and text messages.

What is the Your Way Champion?

Burger King describes the role as a reimagined restaurant manager position meant to put the guest experience first. The company says the employee will wear a dedicated uniform, serve as a point person for customers, and help oversee customization and satisfaction.

Burger King tied the title to its longtime “Have It Your Way” slogan, saying the goal is to make that promise part of daily service. The company has not said whether the role will be added in every restaurant or only in some locations.

What does the Whopper Guarantee do?

Under the new guarantee, Burger King says workers will remake a Whopper on the spot if it does not meet a guest’s expectations. The company also says the customer can get the next Whopper free, with redemption handled through a QR code.

Burger King has not publicly spelled out every rule for the offer, including whether it applies to all Whopper versions or only the standard sandwich.

Why is Burger King making the change now?

Burger King says the new service steps follow a feedback campaign that brought in thousands of calls and texts from customers.

Tom Curtis, president of Burger King US and Canada, said in a CNBC interview that customers like the Whopper but sometimes felt it was squished or not served on the right bun. In that same period, Burger King said it had already been listening to guest comments as it worked on product and service changes.

Those comments came after Burger King updated the Whopper in February. In an official post, the company said the sandwich got a new glazed bun, creamier mayonnaise, and clamshell packaging instead of paper. Burger King said the sandwich still has more than a quarter-pound of 100% flame-grilled beef and that it did not set out to reinvent the item.

Burger King said that earlier Whopper update was the first change to the chain’s signature sandwich in nearly 10 years and was rolled out at more than 7,000 locations nationwide.

Restaurant Brands International CEO Joshua Kobza later said on an earnings call, as reported by CNBC, that the redesigned sandwich was getting positive guest feedback and producing the highest average unit volumes for the Whopper in more than three years.

What is the Florida connection?

Burger King’s official announcement came from Miami, giving the latest customer-service push a Florida base. The sources do not name a specific Florida restaurant, franchisee, or city where the changes started first, and they do not say whether the new manager role or guarantee will be tested in Florida before rolling out more widely.

For customers, the takeaway is simple: Burger King is trying to make the Whopper feel more consistent and the service feel more accountable. The new role and guarantee are meant to put that promise at the counter, not just in the company’s slogan.
